Lights, Camera… Action!
Yesterday was a good day for Madhouse.
- Stars Redmond (what a name, ey?) from RC/Street has agreed to do the Madhouse and Kalidascope Myspaces. Her current roster includes Mystery Jets, Lykke Li, Esser, and Katy Perry. Welcome to Madhouse!
- We’ve also engaged the services of Naomi Christie, BeAt Proud’s CrazySexyCool photographer, to capture the Madhouse in Paradise launch night in glossy multicolor.
- Top top it off, our new video camera arrived by train from Paris, ready to be used by Gab & Anna at Bestival to start shooting the Laundretta project this weekend.
Also a good day in terms of strategic brainstorming:
- Kai and I took part in an enlightening roundtable discussion / music PoWow on the future of digital content funding + distribution, with a few key industry people I admire tremendously.
- Particularly inspired by new initiatives being developed by Abi Hemingway (ex Head of Sessions at AOL) and Matt Cockett (former Head of Music at O2) at video production/distribution venture New Stream Media, and gained a number of valuable insights from superbly knowledgeable Anthony Ackerhoff (a lovely man + fellow Scandi!) who runs music strategy and communications agency Frukt Music
- Excited about how the Madhouse message seemed to resonate with people of their pedigree.
- Thrilled to know there are clever people that really understand Bands and Brands, and have a genuine passion for music and musicians.
